    Reply me back please

How are you doing? I am so sorry I didn't inform you about my traveling to United Kingdom to visit my ill cousin. I am presently in United Kingdom with my ill cousin, whom is a student here. she was diagnosed with a critical uterine fibroid. x ray and scan states that her condition is deteriorating because the fibroid has done a lot of damages to her abdominal area, and an emergency hysterectomy surgery must be carried-out to save her life.

I am deeply sorry for not writing or calling you before leaving,I took first flight to united Kingdom, the news of her illness arrived to me as an emergency and that she needs family support to keep her going. I had little time to prepare or even to inform people about my trip, I hope you understand my plight and pardon me.

I will like you to please assist me with a loan of ($3100) urgently to sort-out my Cousin's bills, the hospital management is demanding for a deposit of (£1800) before they will implement the surgery, i am traveling with few amount of money because I never expected things to be the way it is right now.

What scares me the most is that she is going through a lot of pain at the moment and the doctors have advice that, it is necessary that the tumor must be operated soon to avoid anything from going wrong.

I will appreciate whatever you can afford to assist me with, since i don't know your financial status at the moment. I'll pay back as soon as i return.

I'll be pleased to hear from you soon regarding my request.

    Best Regards

Cover by: Francis Manapul; sketch-cover variant by JG Jones

Spinning out of August's "Red Circle" event from superstar writer J. Michael Straczynski comes the new ongoing adventures of the patriotic Shield and the mysterious man on the run, Inferno! Eric Trautmann (CHECKMATE) and Marco Rudy (FINAL CRISIS) take Lt. Joe Higgins, a.k.a. The Shield, into the hotspots civilians dare not go. His first mission takes The Shield to the razed country of Bialya, destroyed by the rage of Black Adam in 52. Something lurks in the mountains beyond militia activity, and The Shield must investigate!

Plus, Inferno stars in a fast-paced co-feature from writer Brandon Jerwa (G.I. Joe) and artist Greg Scott (GOTHAM CENTRAL)! Who is Inferno, and why is he being pursued by the Dark Men? He'd better find out fast because Green Arrow and Black Canary have questions of their own for the new hero!

HOLY CRAP, DO I HAVE SOME NEWS FOR YOU!

I know what you're thinking: "Once again, Jerwa has fallen behind on updating his website, and now he expects us to wade through a whole pile of nonsense that he's accumulated over the last month!"

I swear I'm innocent this time! I have two VERY BIG NEWS ITEMS today, but this is all stuff that was announced over this last weekend. This is hot off the proverbial press, folks!

Okay, okay. Let's get to it.

First off, the movie option for WIDE AWAKE has been purchased by Do-Over Productions. The press release...

Do-Over Productions has just announced that they have optioned the film rights to Wide Awake, the extraordinary webcomic written by Eric Trautmann and Brandon Jerwa, with art by Mirco Pierfederici and art direction by David Messina. As described in the press release from Do-Over, Wide Awake is the story of Amanda Carter, a young woman whose dreams of terrifying monsters are much more than just figments of her unconscious mind. If she doesn’t defeat them before she wakes up, the horrors from her dreams get loose in the physical world and she must deal with them there.

Trautmann and Jerwa co-created the series which premiered a sample chapter on Free Comic Book Day and was originally scheduled to commence weekly chapters later this summer. This new deal may possibly alter that schedule some. Jarrod Feliciano and Mirjana Novkovic will produce and write the film adaptation. They are repped by attorney Bianca Bezdek-Goodloe. Do-Over Productions is currently in production of the crime drama Fallen Moon, directed by Peter Medak and produced by Feliciano, Novkovic, Valerie McCaffrey, and co-produced by Roger Pugliese.

This is pretty big news for us, obviously. We'll be doing some press in the next couple of weeks to discuss this further. In immediate WIDE AWAKE news, Eric and will be signing copies of Popgun Vol. 2 at the Image Comics booth at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 24th from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Our nightmare-plagued heroine Amanda Carter was first introduced in that anthology in a short story called "Behind The Wall Of Sleep." If you're submitting to the madness that is Comic-Con, we sincerely hope you'll make time to come and see us.

Now for the OTHER big news: Dynamite Entertainment will be publishing STARGATE comics based on various incarnations of the hit SyFy television franchise, and I'm writing one of the three series. This excerpt from a Newsarama article explains the whole thing far more effectively than I could hope to:

“Stargate is truly a crown jewel when it comes to episodic science fiction television,” stated Dynamite President Nick Barrucci. “Just in time for the Stargate Universe series debuting in October, Dynamite will create an adventure series that retailers and fans alike will love. We have three separate launches planned, each designed to focus on the characters and attention coming the way of both the new show and Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis!”

Helping bring the world of Stargate to life is a team of top creative talent including: John Watson, whose work has graced Marvel Comics covers as one of the finest painters in the industry.  John will be doing his first sequential work EVER in Stargate Universe.  Dynamite is also bringing in famed Star Wars painter Dave Dorman as the main cover artist, as well as writers Chuck Dixon (G.I. Joe) with a prequel to Stargate Universe, Doug Murray (Jungle Girl and ‘Nam) with the continuing stories from Stargate Atlantis beginning with Season Six and Brandon Jerwa (Battlestar Galactica) on Stargate SG1 beginning with Season #11.  Dynamite will be launching a Stargate #0 bringing three different stories in one event comic for $1.00, to help introduce fans to the Stargate “universe”.

I'd say "that's all for now," but jeez - isn't this enough? Besides, I need to go finish doing laundry and packing for San Diego. Hope to see you there, kids!

    MAN ON FIRE

Brandon Jerwa talks "Inferno" with Newsarama

Trautmann and Jerwa on "The Shield" and "Inferno" - Pop Culture Zoo

The time has finally come! I'm working in the DC Universe! Eric Trautmann and I are teamed up once again for "The Shield" and "Inferno." Eric's writing the patriotic title character, while I'm handling the incendiary co-feature. Our heroes are a major part of the integration of the Red Circle characters into the DCU, picking up the threads after J. Michael Straczynski's initial launch of the characters in a series of 4 one-shots debuting this August. Our ongoing series will debut in September.

In convention news, I will be attending San Diego Comic-Con and have just been confirmed as a guest for Emerald City Comicon 2010.

More great news to come...VERY SOON!

ONCE AGAIN, I AM BEHIND ON UPDATES

It’s been a pretty crazy time over here in Brandon-land. Since my last update, I’ve made appearances at the Highlander Worldwide convention in L.A., and the Spokane Comic-Con here in Washington. I’ve also been hard at work writing a few different as-yet-unannounced Secret Projects. Oh, and did I mention that Eric Trautmann and I launched a preview of our new free online comic series, WIDE AWAKE?

Like I said: crazy times. “Be careful what you wish for,” isn’t that how the saying goes? I’m here to tell you that it’s true, folks…and I’m loving every minute of it!

JERWA ON TWITTER AND A "WIDE AWAKE" PREVIEW!

First up, follow me on Twitter:

    http://twitter.com/jerwa

And here's a "Wide Awake" teaser image!

As we prepare for the launch of the WIDE AWAKE webcomic, I'll be sharing various production and promotional art pieces. This particular image is from regular series artist Mirco Pierfederici and features our lead character Amanda Carter in a tastefully vulnerable state. May be NSFW for mild artistic nudity.

(The webcomic will be PG-13 most of the time, FYI.)

    20 QUESTIONS AT COMICS SPOTLIGHT

    http://comicsspotlight.blogspot.com/2009/03/20-questions-with-brandon-jerwa.html

This fantastically in-depth interview is very different from the press I've been doing of late. You won't catch me talking about how awesome my book-of-the-week is, but you might just gain some insight into who I am and where I come from. If you're into that...

WonderCon '09: John Layman on Debuting 'Chew'

    By Matt Brady
    posted: 27 February 2009 06:16 pm ET

Readers who’ve followed the writing career of John Layman are used to his creator-owned ideas being kind of...out there.

While the corporate mascot gone very, very wrong story of Puffed and Stay Puffed went into their own land of...different, this June, Layman, with artist Rob Guillory are looking to move the goalpost a little further with Chew, a police procedural starring a “quirky” investigator that makes Monk’s Adrian Monk look just as normal as anyone you’d pass on the street.

We’d best let Layman take it from here, as we’re not well-acquainted with the legalities and liabilities of this kind of story and who can be held responsible for what.

    New interview at www.generalsjoes.com

Justin Bell is one of a handful of truly active and loyal G.I. Joe fans who take on the serious responsibility of maintaining an insightful web presence for the fans at www.generalsjoes.com – offering toy reviews, editorial articles and much more.

He surprised me recently with a really in-depth set of interview questions, resulting in what may just be my longest interview ever. We discuss my feelings on G.I. Joe in its many forms - comics, toys and movies; past, present and future - and touch on some non-Joe topics as well.

Joe Rybandt (seen here with his two “life partners”) is my editor at Dynamite, and literally one of my favorite people on the planet. If I never write another book for them again as long as I live, I'll be content in the knowledge that I :

    1) worked with a great editor who valued and respected my work;

    and

    2) made a friend for life.

This interview offers some insight into the man, the myth, the miracle...that is...JOE RYBANDT. Check it out.
